Support Services For Employees
Many InspiriTec employees face challenges, often a direct result of disability, which put at risk their successful completion of training or working effectively on the job. These barriers can include issues such as transportation, child care, medical care, accessible and affordable housing, clothing, and the need for unique engineering and workplace accommodations. Some trainees and employees have psycho-social issues which manifest themselves in unprofessional behavior in the workplace or substandard work performance.
InspiriTec maintains a staff of credentialed social workers and case managers who work with trainees and employees to remove barriers imposed by disability. These support services empower and support our clients and employees by providing the resources needed to achieve independence and proficiency in the workplace.
InspiriTec Case Managers, using a structured approach to social work practice, perform comprehensive intake assessments (using our Employability Assessment Scale for People with Disabilities or EASPD), develop Individualized Work Plans, provide information and referral to other resource agencies, serve as advocates for services, monitor trainee and progress in achieving case services objectives, and provide direct counseling. They also work closely with other InspiriTec staff, especially in operations, human resources, and assistive technology engineering to help assure trainee and employee success in the classroom and on the job.
The overarching goal of
InspiriTec Case Management Services is to provide attentive and
compassionate human services such that our trainees and colleagues can
achieve, sustain, and develop the independence that comes with having a
job..
