InspiriTec’s employees are our key asset and the fruit of our mission. Each real-life story below reveals the impact made possible through our partnerships with commercial customers and the dedication of our committed supporters.

Aida • Customer Service Representative • Philadelphia
When a caseworker from the PA Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR) told me about InspiriTec, I was in such a funk that I didn’t think I had a chance here. I was burned out from working with patients as a mental health counselor. I have fibromyalgia, ADHD, and a history of severe depression. Some mornings, I hurt so bad that I neither want to move nor get out of bed; I have to force myself to get up. I felt that way the morning of my interview at InspiriTec; I almost didn’t show up. I’m so glad I went, because after working over a decade here, InspiriTec still motivates me to overcome my disabilities and do the job. As a Customer Service Representative on the ACA project, I assist Pennsylvanians with completing applications for Medical Assistance and SNAP benefits. I like interacting with the callers and helping them solve their problems. I am bilingual, so I can serve the many Spanish-speaking callers we get without a translator. InspiriTec really supports its employees. If I ever have a problem at work or in life, I feel like I can contact anyone in management, and they’ll find a solution. My favorite thing I’ve done at InspiriTec is advocating for the disabled community. People with disabilities, especially people with invisible disabilities, need a voice. I have participated in legislator visits, and I have attended rallies in Harrisburg, to support Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) policies. For being a positive example of a person “living, working, and coping with a disability,” I won the 2017 UniqueSource Achievement Award. InspiriTec focuses on ability and positivity, like I do. Nobody else would’ve hired a woman in her 50s with a disability…and turned her life around!
